English description provided by the architects.
Yes, you are tucked away in the middle of the woods, and sometimes I think I can't see you from above because the treetops hide you.
So I look for your left side, the one touching the river, and there I find you.
Sometimes I look at you from the front and I can't believe how you turned out, because we designed you to be fresh and, truth be told, you are. And I'm not sure if that is so easily achieved.
Your roofs are low, like the little shack that stood in that very spot before you, and like most of the houses in Resistencia. But your floors are cool, and I love that.
I often walk barefoot and those tiny leaves stick to my feet from the huge, fifty-year-old ibirá pitá tree that stands like a banner over your roof. And yes, we thought a lot about your roof.
When I look at it, I feel it is like my grandfather's hair before going to work: parted down the middle with pomade, the comb lines perfectly defined.
Your gutter, cutting right through the center, acts as the part; and the water it collects helps keep everything growing around it strong.
Your windows are well-placed because they let me see what I want to see and, often, a little bit more.
My friends idolize you. You've earned a spot in that sacred place reserved for cherished things, because they experience you and have experienced you as much as I have.
They understand that you have countless details that reveal themselves over time.
I have shared you a lot because I want them to enjoy you, just as I enjoy you when I get up and make breakfast in your kitchen, accompanied by that thick, rich beam of sunlight that no artificial light can rival.
I think of the green in your bathroom, of your wooden ceiling, of those small imperfections you have that make you so beautiful. And, above all, I think of the story of having created you together with my friend, together with my friends.
I sketched you on a napkin and that is exactly how you turned out. And I thank you, because I know the outside world often doesn't understand you. But that is not something that worries you: each year, each season, you become a little more interesting.
