English description provided by the architects.
The project for the city's new seafront reimagines the public space of the tourist promenade, focusing on social interaction and community well-being, primarily through the elimination of vehicular traffic along the route.
The project, which extends for approximately 600 meters, continually modifies the texture of the paving in an almost tailor-made manner, including the choice of materials, resin, stone, and wood offers the opportunity to experience and interact with a green path adjacent to the beach, composed of hundreds of tall trees and shrubs.
This allows visitors to discover the charm of the ever-changing days and seasons throughout the year, through the changing vegetation.
The punctuation of the furnishings, designed expressly for the specific location (seating, shade structures), discreetly accompanies the phrasing of the walk, fostering the creation of exclusive spaces of calm and relaxation, thus generating places for meeting and connecting.
The tour concludes at the vantage point overlooking the canal harbor, with the entrance framed by iconic natural elements, defined by two specimens of pendula Sophora and the small square falling the historic staircase, which supports the new elevator shaft connecting the upper town, the beach bar, and the service building.
