Houses
In the house, everything happens under this V-shaped cover, which shelters the various spaces, forms the overhangs, protects from the sun and rain, and minimizes the perception of a large built volume, integrating the architecture into the rural environment.
A series of volumes unfolds between patios, planters, and flower beds, and finally opens up to the front garden.
The section explains the architecture, the volumes, the interior spaces, and the connections with the garden, the diversity of relationships between the habitat and domesticated nature, with planters, flower beds, and trees at different levels.
It is a world of reflections and transparencies among the plants, the glass, and the interiors; it is like walking through the garden every day, with fragments of green succeeding one another inside, every corner has its counterpart outside.
The vegetation and the surrounding environment of the house are part of the architecture.
Architecture is not limited to just the built boundaries; it goes much further, because the spaces expand, and the sensations that can be created with architecture relate to how these spaces are formed, how the volume of the house relates to its surroundings, and what views are achieved from the interior of the spaces.
All of this becomes essential in this project, because from various corners of the house, one can enjoy these vegetal and visual elements, but not in a monotonous way, rather in a diverse way, because each space contains its counterpart outside; a patio, a planter, a flower bed, a view of the rural neighborhood, a cluster of trees...
