English description provided by the architects.

The settlement of Koritno lies on the edge of the fluvial–glacial terrace of the Sava Dolinka riverbed, southeast of Bled.

To the north, the site offers a striking backdrop of the Alps / Karavanke, while to the south there are views into greenery and good sunlight exposure.

The location features a former meadow where new plots have already been defined and access roads constructed.

Here, a neighborhood of individual houses is being developed, with precisely determined positions and building volumes, including roof slopes, façade materials, and colors.

For our building, a small floor plan and an unconventional shape have been defined, with the ridge positioned along the shorter side of the plan, designed to visually form a whole with the neighboring building.

The structure is therefore raised to the maximum permitted height, and the walls extending above the roofline emphasize its unusual form.

The interior space is dynamic, with varying ceiling heights and split levels; the program is organized vertically, with privacy increasing with height.

Traditionally, the central space of the home—the kitchen with dining area—is located on the ground floor, next to a sunken entrance, featuring a high ceiling and connected to the garden.

The living room is half a level higher, spatially separated yet visually connected to the kitchen and dining area.

Bedrooms are located in the attic, while service rooms occupy the semi-basement. A visible staircase connects the floors.

Windows of various heights, depths, and sizes are arranged according to views, sunlight, privacy, and functionality, while also reflecting the dynamic floor plan on the façade.

The garden exit is recessed; the kitchen window captures the southern sun while preventing views from the street due to its elevation; a corner window in the living room directs views between future neighboring houses.

The roof is concealed by walls, emphasizing the cubic shape of the building. The compact volume is coated with a uniform rough-textured façade, highlighting the plasticity of the mass and the irregularly arranged openings.
