Saha Casa Boutique is much more than a standard hotel and serviced apartment complex, located on Morrison Street, one of the major thoroughfares in the seaside city of Da Nang.
In the middle of this thriving tourist city's rapid development, surrounded by upscale block hotels faced with glass, this project is a clever challenge that embodies an impromptu, very artistic architectural language.
Saha Casa Boutique is a leisure facility with flowing, organic curves that draw inspiration from nature and architectural features that create wonder.
It is expected to become an enticing tourist attraction and usher in a new age for area architecture.
While existing coastal accommodation projects are dominated by glass blocks and subdued colors, Saha Casa Boutique chose a strong yellow stone tone, creating an impressively contrasting effect with its surroundings.
The appeal of the structure stems from architectural lines developed based on natural structures.
Drawing inspiration from the image of caves, the structure incorporates flexible open and closed spaces, featuring soft arched doorways and windows.
This contrast between solid and void, light and shadow, creates a continuous journey of discovery, revealing corridors, pathways, gardens, and room spaces with diverse emotional nuances.
That contrast is further evident in the building's material itself. Instead of using modern materials, the design team advised using granite terrazzo – a traditional, environmentally friendly material that brings a rustic and intimate feel.
The rough-textured surface of this material not only creates a deep textural layer but also acts as a refined "envelope," regulating light and wind, creating continuously changing shadow patterns throughout the day, making the project always dynamic.
ARCHITECTURAL SPACE & FEATURES
The ground floor is an airy atrium of delicate elegance. Here, a beautiful fish pond floats elegantly interwoven with decorative plantings.
The open central core provides natural light from above. All together it creates a wellspring of life.
Indeed, this hallowed area is the beating heart of Saha Casa, from which each hallway, like a gentle arm, envelops and leads a visitor to the safety of their rooms.
Emerald green carpets rise with exquisite elegance, a symphony of vegetation spreading from one floor to the next, blending to create a stunning vertical garden.
Enveloping colors and passionate curves dissolve and reappear when walking around this cherished building.
The rooftop glass-sided swimming pool is a bold and imaginative feature. With a structural console span extending out to 6 meters, the pool is cantilevered like a boat floating in the sky.
The pool provides a "breathtaking" and exhilarating sensation. The front glass wall of the pool utilizes special acrylic panels, providing a panoramic view and a unique swimming experience.
Each space at Saha Casa is designed to lead visitors into a dialogue with architecture. It is the cool sensation when stepping on stone floors, the scent of plants blending with the wind, and the tranquil sound of flowing water.
This project is not merely a place to reside but also a sensory experience, an affirmation of the beauty that can be found in the utmost simplicity and sincerity.
Sharing about the project, Architect Ho Khue stated, "When we began sketching the design, we proposed to the investor our desire for Saha Casa to not only provide guests with a comfortable retreat, but also to evoke a sense of architectural art."
That is the spirit Saha Casa Boutique aims to convey, creating a unique imprint on Da Nang's coastal urban architecture.
"We always aspire and are passionate about creating new architectural works, dedicating ourselves tirelessly to realizing and bringing them to life," Architect Ho Khue shared.
