DELVA’s radical transformation of the Bogaardplein is the kick-off for the development of Rijswijk's city centre, In De Bogaard.
From the plan's goal of structural greening, we are interweaving the new urban nature with the function of the park as a central meeting place for sports and play.
With the green metamorphosis of the Bogaardplein, we are making a strong contribution to the sustainability ambitions of the city by providing shade and cool spots, delayed collection of rainwater, and promoting biodiversity, health and welfare.
A sloping surface provides space for a wide variety of greenery, such as multi-stemmed trees with flowering undergrowth and grasses.
Between the robust green zones, there are numerous places to congregate, from a basketball court and mini-playground to the water element with adjoining seating structure in the core of the plan.
