Stonehill Taylor as the project architect worked with Snøhetta as façade design consultant to integrate the façade with the adjacent educational building.  The building has won a design award by New York City’s Public Design Commission.

Marking the entrance to the campus, Graduate Roosevelt Island boasts unobstructed views of Manhattan and includes a full-service restaurant, indoor-outdoor rooftop bar, and 3,600 square feet of event and meeting facilities.

Stonehill Taylor was instrumental in the creation of the lobby space, which features a monolithic 30-foot-tall ceiling made from acoustical plaster.

The design of the ceiling was important in connecting the interior space to the exterior as part of the full campus experience.
