THE VIEW TO THE CITY
Where the Munich-Salzburg railway line cuts diagonally through the urban network a clear high point is set.
Through the tower, a striking situation emerges that illustrates the relationship between the project and the city and particularly the inner city.
POROUS COURTYARD TYPOLOGY
The orthogonal structure, in connection with the significant height differences of the terrain, leads to a complex plan and cut that thereby produce very differently designed exterior spaces.
The inner courtyard assumes the role of the central distributor and meeting place.
BUILDINGS AS A BRAND
Under the name "TRIKOT", the building has been established as an address which has attracted a large number of tenants as well as retail and a restaurant on the ground floor. The integrated design of the foyers underlines the CI character of the project.
FACADE
Due to the relatively narrow facade module of 120 cm, we were able to develop a highly vertically structured facade.
The facade elaborates on the dynamics of traffic: because no one quietly observes the building at this busy intersection but moves past it at different speeds, the passer-by perceives a subtle optical wave effect due to the varying depth of the vertical slats.
This effect is strong enough to make the building memorable, yet subtle enough to stay interesting in the long run.
