Organization of workshops around a winter garden. Rehabilitation of a building in sheds, and new construction of the reception building and the workshop at the back. Work on light and atmospheres.
On a very long plot of 10 meters wide, this old carpentry workshop was transformed into 2 artists' workshops articulated around a winter garden under glass, served by a first building for reception and exhibition to the public.
The glazed articulation in glass of this winter garden allows to light the 2 workshops, (sculpture and painting) by the repair of 2 workshop facades in black bricks and random sets of wooden joinery
The progression through this succession of buildings offers a variation of sizes playing between the typology of classic house with two sloped roof and that of old factory in sheds suitable for the installation of workshops.
The connections on the facade from one to the other typology are made by filling with alveolar polycarbonate also found in zenithal glass roof.
An HQE intention is brought to the whole for reasons of energy saving: heat pumps photovoltaic panels, double flow ventilation, rainwater recovery, external insulation for the new parts...
