DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISION
The building is situated in a naturally attractive setting in the Valle dei Laghi in the province of Trento, far from built-up areas, nestled between farmland and woodlands.
The project revolves around a recently built yet unfinalised structure, proposing an external makeover and completion of the interior.
The most contemporary aspect of the building is the cube to the south-west which has been shielded along the outside by a series of natural larch trunks, secured at both ends and linked to a corten steel sheet roof.
From within, these raw tree trunks evoke a greater sense of immersion in the natural surroundings. Inside, the stone stairs are an important feature, splitting the ground floor into two separate areas, the living room and the breakfast area, the first characterised by wood and the other by light.
