Casa Figueroa is born from the idea that the environment is what defines the project, developing in a rural environment, where the variety of construction materials is reduced to the most elemental, such as concrete and wood.
Using a limited palette of materials and reducing the finishes to the apparent, an integration of the surrounding elements has been achieved, but at the same time, giving a contemporary sense to the project, which generates an atmosphere of serenity.
Figueroa is a project that through its materiality transmits the purity of the home, noting that a sophisticated finish is not necessary for the architecture to be good, thus reducing the palette of materials to apparent concrete, wood, steel with primer, and polished concrete.
Leaving in this way, that the interior design plays a primary role in the functioning of the house.
On the site, there was a house over 80 years old, which was demolished at the decision of its owners, in order to make room for the new building. The environment, which is a rural, arid location with few resources, means that each space within the property has been thought out and designed in the best possible way, in order to optimize both time and economic resources.
