Move through, touch, feel and smell the future of living as our storytelling installation guides you through the cycle of circular and biobased construction and explains how we can change more than just the construction sector, if we design and build differently.
The Exploded View Beyond Building is an exhibition in the shape of a full-size home that is made entirely of biobased materials, circular construction methods and stories about the changing value chain of which it is part.
The project explores how building biobased homes can lead to system changes in Health, Agriculture, Neighbourhoods of the future and Value chains.
The Exploded View Beyond Building demonstrates a lot is already possible, affordable and manageable, that it is healthier for people and the world and that it is part of a much larger chain as an alternative to the current systems built on pollution and depletion.
The project calls you- all of you- public, policy, construction and agriculture sectors to redirect the sustainability conversation from “is this possible?” towards “how are we going to do this together?”
This exhibition is the result of a collaboration and research by architects, builders, producers, farmers, scientists, designers, governments and storytellers.
