This sweets factory stands on a 16.5㎡ plot in a residential neighborhood. The client has a 12-year old daughter with a mental disability who has found her talent in pastries.
The Sweets Factory is designed to fulfill her dream to have her own store and bring joy to people through pastries.
She started learning pastries by herself when she was 10, training through mobile catering. The goal of this project is to make a sweets factory that welcomes everyone while reducing construction costs.
The building is located at the end of a road, with a stream running behind it.
We tried not to block off the path to the stream and to make the design spacious and translucent.
Half of the building is made of glass that allows sunlight to come in and make the space feel airy, while keeping the other half private.
A seamless connection of interior and exterior creates a vibrant, inviting atmosphere.
