Text description provided by architect.

The project implements a replicable model in each of its points: the architecture, the economic logic, the energy criteria, integrated farming practices and reforestation.

It offers a rural area a number of tools that propose ways of inhabiting these sensitive forest areas with production needs, and develop an equivalent degree of integration on a social level.

THE ARCHITECTURAL PROPOSAL IS DEVELOPERS BASED ON A NUMBER OF CRITERIA

The first is to obtain a constructive and formal system that can respond to the most rudimentary vicissitudes. A system capable of adapting to the edge of the mountain with minimal impact, keeping in mind that the building is located in an area to be reforested.

The triangular modulation allows maximum flexibility to place the building between existing trees.

- Second, we are interested in linking parts of the system with technologies offered by the area and the type of construction; on one hand, it must be consistent with the pace of visits from the construction management, and on the other, regarding the skills of the people who make up the construction team.

For them the "Paraguayan home" is the daily construction model. That model is adopted and crossed with the proposed system. The result reduces the margin of error in several respects. For starters, the construction techniques are familiar to those who perform them.

The distances between structural axes are always 3.00m, allowing redesigns and modifications to be simple, and in fact it is this mutability that finishes configuring the imprint of the building.

Redesigns are done with knowledge of the system and the approximate number of modules to be built, but without the need to impose beforehand the final morphology of the building.

We simply take the vacant space between the tree species to be conserved.

Then, on the resulting figure, we propose plan variables and determine which one is the most functional to the programmatic scheme that required by the building. Then it is executed.

Since the project began, we proposed an interest in performing part of the construction and training in the context of experiential workshops. Less than a year after construction began, with an almost finished living space and the structure of the multipurpose room already set, it was possible to organize the first workshop.

We had the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team, able to encompass tasks beyond the particular areas of development of each, and a worldwide reference: Professor Gernot Minke.
