Text description provided by architect.

Located along a trail for tractors, surrounded by farm sheds, the terrain did not offer any attractive views.

However, our clients wanted a warm living space protected from intrusive looks consequently we decided to build a house that takes over the entire length of the lot - 54 meters long. The project is along the plot and benefits from the tranquillity of the garden.

Along the trail, the long concrete façade protects the house from disturbances and from the prevailing winds and rain coming from the west.

To grant a certain delicacy to this wall we pierced it with small round windows placed in an apparently random manner. They animate the inside hallway.

In order to avoid confrontation with farm buildings of a much larger scale, the house disappears merging into the topography.

The green roof was evident since the building blends with the ground like "a strip of land slightly lifted". We wanted to enhance the interior and exterior landscapes simultaneously enriching them mutually.
