Following the successful completion of a feasibility study, performed by SmithGroup and Don Eyberg Associates, SmithGroup is providing architectural and engineering services for the addition / renovation of the existing Rose Arena and Rose/Ryan Hall.
The project will include Installation of all new seating within the arena; the addition of a new entrance, north lobby and the expansion of the south lobby; the addition of a new practice facility; the construction of a premium seating/club room area; infrastructure improvements to the arena including the installation of air conditioning and new plumbing for additional bathrooms.
Existing arena HVAC systems were upgraded in place to add air-conditioning cost-effectively.
Four main supply fans in compact mechanical rooms were retained by installing larger but thinner filters and heating coils.
That saved enough floor space and lowered air resistance enough to insert chilled-water cooling coils—without changing fans, motor horsepower, supply ductwork or walls
