An objective of the project is to assure a visual continuity of surfaces while providing a fluid link between the typological differences in form and outline of the adjoining buildings.
According to the point of view, the building offers a double perception, answering to different scales: the contemporary city and the historical city.
In contrast with the flush alignment of the facades, the project proposes creating projections, essentially loggia, distributed in an apparently random pattern, and which are a contemporary interpretation of the classic bow-window style that can be found in the streets of Brussels.
The loggias, presenting alternative aspects of obscured and open spaces, permit lateral views from the building while maintaining the privacy of the apartments and also ensuring that an optimal amount of daylight is received within this urban context.
