Text description provided by architect.
The main theme is as best coalescence of the house with the surroundings as possible, preservation of the character of the local development.
While maintaining an incomparably larger construction program – a contemporary family house providing a standard BOH compared with the local cabins undoubtedly does meet this requirement.
The land slopes downwards from the access road. As it faces south, it was possible to hide a part of the house below the ground and thus control its volumetric effect within the above-mentioned context.
Also the fact that the free façade areas are limited positively affects the energy consumption.
