Text description provided by architect.
A well-deserved lady lives in a white house. Donate the land, house and annexes to build a nursing home there. It only requires that the construction be done even before his death. Everything starts from the house, it is the center and the symbol.
The home building results from the expansion of the threshing platform of that house.
In the center, two patios are built, one social and the other for service, which dematerialize the built mass, as if part of the building had been removed, exposing its interior. There, life and movement are perceived.
Arranged around the patio, the social areas and the 27 rooms invite the communion of a shared life, a sense of connection and security.
The building is reduced to the scale of a house. Everything is on a floor connected to the level of the land.
There is a certain familiarity and a scale that can be controlled.
The simple, direct, wide and luminous circulations. From the atrium that intersects the building and creates two opposite entrances, the main and the service. And the ring circulation that embraces the two patios.
Outside the rhythm of the façade refers to the trunks of the trees, in a mix option, highlighting the existing whitewashed houses.
