BDP designed the buildings and landscape and their sensitive integration on a rural site on the edge of the Pentland Hills overlooking the city of Edinburgh.

The project is highly sustainable and boasts Scotland’s largest green roof which undulates over the buildings and water storage tanks effectively creating a new hill. The project now provides all the capital’s needs for fresh drinking water well into the future.
