The Oslo building regulations, specially regarding restrictions in built area, makes this a challenging task.

Concrete is used to deal with the sloping terrain and the negotiation between private and open common space.

A wooden floor is inserted into the middle floor volume to connect the spaces shared by the whole family with the green garden.

A more closed wooden box, clad in bamboo, contains the kids section. While the lower part of the house is a secluded area for the adults.
