The Cerdeiras House Hotel results from the transformation of a rural complex dating back to the 18th century, located in the Labruja Mountain, in Ponte de Lima, Portugal.
The current construction reflects successive phases of growth and adaptation, from which parts of the original granite and schist façades still remain, integrated into an ensemble of organic evolution.
Its rehabilitation sought to reinterpret traditional elements without resorting to mimetic reconstruction.
Structures that had already disappeared were recreated in a deliberately contemporary manner, while drawing on a vocabulary rooted in the site's long-standing building culture.
While maintaining the identity of the complex, the project positions itself as another moment within the ongoing process of transformation of the house, ensuring its continued relevance and use into the future.
